HEY! I’M HELLEN…
I’m originally from South Africa and now live abroad as an expat with my husband and our playful twins in a beautiful, sun-soaked coastal town that feels like a blend of adventure and serenity. Our older boys, now young adults, live and study back in South Africa. I am an eternal optimist - self-driven, motivated and deeply grounded in my spirituality.
In my free time, I spend time with family and friends, read or listen to personal development content, love hiking, or enjoy long evening walks through the warm, vibrant streets of our new home. For years, my life looked “perfect” from the outside.
I had a fulfilling corporate career, travelled the world, stayed in some of the most luxurious hotels, and provided a comfortable life for my family. Yet inside, something was missing. While I loved helping people grow through my work, the long hours, constant travel, and pressure of corporate life left little time for me - or for the moments I truly valued with my family.
The more I grew, the more my life expanded - in every direction.
THE REALISATION: IT WAS TIME FOR A CHANGE
For over 20 years, I worked as a Human Resources executive, leading teams across Africa, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East, with companies like Deloitte & Touche, BP, Microsoft, and Hilton. I coached countless leaders to reach their potential and found joy in enabling others’ growth. But despite all my experience and success, I had a deep, self-limiting belief: entrepreneurship was not for me.
I thought I preferred the security of corporate life, managing businesses passively, and I never imagined stepping into a business of my own. Then, earlier this year, life shifted in a way I couldn’t ignore. After a decade with one company, I suddenly found myself at home, no longer defined by a role or title, and facing the unknown with equal parts uncertainty and possibility.
At first, I did what felt familiar and practical: I explored new corporate roles, hoping another position might bring the spark back. But the job market in a new country was competitive, and nothing seemed to line up in the way I expected. Slowly, I began to recognize that maybe this wasn’t a setback at all. Maybe it was the universe nudging me toward something different with more freedom, more growth, and more flexibility than I had ever allowed myself to imagine.
THE SPARK THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING: When an ad for an Online Business first came across my desk, naturally, I was skeptical - after all, I had never considered entrepreneurship for myself. But curiosity got the better of me, and I enquired.
By the end of the presentation, I felt inspired in a way I hadn’t felt in years. For the first time, I saw a clear path to build something meaningful, step by step, with coaching, mentoring, and support from a community of like-minded people.
Once I started, I discovered that I’d finally found an opportunity that aligns with my values, offers flexibility and allows me to impact lives around the world - all while building a future of abundance for my family.
